The judging process for the awards works differently depending on the type of award.
Awards decided by public vote
The following three awards are chosen through a public vote:
The process for these awards is:
- The public are invited to nominate individuals and groups from 26 August 2022 to 4 December 2022.
- Following the closing date, the judging panel will review all nominations and select four finalists.
- The winners will be chosen from the finalists in each category following a public vote. Members of the public can vote from 24 January 2023 to 26 February 2023.
- The winners will be announced at the awards evening on 23 March 2023
Awards decided by judges
The following awards are decided by a panel of judges:
- Spirit of Salford Special Recognition Award
- Young Person of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Good Neighbour of the Year
- Best Health Achievement
- Best Environmental Improvement
- Best Community Safety Project
The process for these awards is:
- The public are invited to nominate individuals and groups from 26 August 2022 to 4 December 2022.
