Judging

The judging process for the awards works differently depending on the type of award.

Overall awards

We have three overall awards for Citizen of the Year, Community Group of the Year and Public Servant of the Year.

The process for these awards is:

  1. The public are invited to nominate individuals and groups from 15 September 2018 to 3 December 2018.
  2. Following the closing date, the judging panel will review all nominations and select four finalists for each of the overall awards.
  3. The winner will be chosen from the finalists in each category following a public vote. Members of the public can vote from 11 January 2019 to 1 March 2019.
  4. The winners will be announced at the awards evening on 14 March 2019

Category awards

We have seven category awards as follows:
